Prunus lusitanica
(Portuguese Laurel)
A medium growing evergreen shrub mainly used for hedging, it creates a strong, dense cover good for blocking out unwanted views or adding privacy. It has a slower and more attractive growing habit to that of Laurel.
Its best to keep on top of the pruning and prune to shape each Winter, Portuguese Laurel can grow very large, up to 5M however it can be cut right back into the old wood and it will re-grow.
