Unlike other forms in the genus more known for their silvery foliage, this variety has darker purple tinged green foliage in a tight but spreading clump. It is a good foliage plant with height coming from the flowers and very useful through the mid border mixed with a range of colours from other plants.

Artemisia is a large genus of plants incorporating shrubs, perennials and annuals and they can be evergreen or deciduous. Most of the varieties we grow have varying uses in the garden and are grown for their foliage. Some have dark foliage but most have very silvery foliage is incredibly useful for showing off other more colourful plants creating a good backdrop from which the colours stand out. The scented foliage is another useful highlight and works well in high traffic areas. It is best to trim these vigorous plants regularly to maintain shape.
