Artemisia absinthium
Lambrook Silver

(Worm Wood)

A nice silvery sub-shrub found by Margery Fish at Lambrook gardens in Somerset, it has finely cut, silver leaves and produces a compact mound of scented foliage with silver flower spikes in summer.
A good foliage plant with height coming from the flowers and very useful through the mid border mixed with a range of colours from other plants.
Good for hot and drier areas and prefers an open, free draining soil.
    Hardy, evergreen sub-shrub.
Artemisia is a large genus of plants incorporating shrubs, perennials and annuals and they can be evergreen or deciduous. Most of the varieties we grow have varying uses in the garden and are grown for their foliage. The very silvery foliage is incredibly useful for showing off other more colourful plants creating a good backdrop from which the colours stand out. The scented foliage is another useful highlight and works well in high traffic areas. It is best to trim these vigorous plants regularly to maintain shape.
Supplied in either a 9cm pot or 2 Litre pot, please select from the drop down menu when ordering.
