Buddleja Salmon Spheres

An unusual variety and the result of a cross between Buddleia globossa
and Buddliea crispa, this has resulted in a nice variety with rounded, salmon pink flowers fading out to an orange colour in summer. The foliage is hirsute and silvery giving a nice effect.
Reported to be tender but we have left plants outside here at the nursery and they come through OK, they do look a little rough for it though and I would suggest planting this variety in a warm, well drained spot and in extreme conditions protecting with some fleece.
Growing advice:
Plant in a suitable position and remove dead flowers to prolong the flowering period. Prune hard in winter (January/February) and remove any large, woody stems.
