Clematis heracleifolia Cote d'Azur

A nice variety of Clematis and unusual in being an herbaceous perennial with a good strong, clump forming habit. This plant is not a climber and can not be grown as one, instead it performs well in the mid border with nice pale green, large leaves and tall flower spikes with two or three sets of flowers on the same shoot.

Flowers open as small blue bell like flowers and the petals curl back to show a paler center.

Good for a mixed border and works well from full sun into semi shade.
