This unique variety of the well-loved deciduous grass genus is a must-have for any garden. With its ability to thrive in full sun or light shade, Molinia caerulea ssp. arundinacea, also known as Purple Moor-Grass, is a versatile and stunning addition to any landscape.
During late spring and into summer, this grass produces a large tuft of green foliage, followed by narrow purple flower panicles on stems that can reach up to 150cm in height. Its bronze foliage in autumn adds a beautiful touch to the mid to back of borders.
